It's June! School is done for us and we're staring down our summer schedules and tuning studios for next school year. If only running a studio meant summer's off like our students. But like I tell my oldest, welcome to adulting in Seattle where summer just means looking out the window is sunny rather than rainy. 🤣
Here's a few highlights of what we've been up to lately.
🚪 Rooms
For those of you who run studios with multiple staff in a physical location, managing rooms is a crucial piece of the puzzle to keeping things running smoothly. Clients can't double book rooms and the "best available room" feature aims to keep your staff in the same room for subsequent appointments to avoid jumping around the studio. We think it's pretty cool, and hopefully you do as well.
🐎 Performance
If you've noticed that things are feeling a bit more snappy these days you're not seeing things. We took a close look at all levels of the app to see where we could squeeze out more performance, especially for larger organizations. The net result is faster load times and more responsive pages.
🔧 Fixes
- Update Payment Info button was unresponsive on past due accounts 💳
- Date range availability bar missing 🔍
- Google Calendar sync progress bar was hanging 💤
- Library not opening correctly on mobile in certain scenarios 📚
- Some library documents just open to a blank page 🏳️
- Payments by type only showing one-time payments on dashboard ❓
- Booking link was forcing login in some scenarios 🔗
- Google to Fons not consistently syncing external availabilities 📆
