The Fons Scholarship

Many users, such as teachers, really love using Fons to run their business. Fons’ integration of scheduling and payments creates an easy-to-use calendar and dependable income for business owners. Since our app nurtures an ongoing trust and bond between business owners and their clients, our users find scheduling appointments and managing their payments incredibly easier than using competing programs or apps.
With the growth of the Fons app in mind, we want to hear current students’ take on modern payment systems and where these systems are headed in the future. As an added incentive, we have created a $1000 scholarship award for one forward-thinking undergraduate student every year.
How to Apply
Please complete this application before August 1, 2018.
To complete the application, you will need to submit the following information:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- College or university name
- College or university mailing address
- Attached proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university - current transcript, acceptance letter, or tuition bill will be accepted.
- Attached essay and optional reference guide. We will accept .doc and .pdf files only.
Scholarship Details
- The winner will be announced on August 15, 2018.
- The winner will be selected by a member of the team at Fons Inc.
- A check will be mailed to the winning candidate’s college or university to be used towards tuition, room and board, or books.
- Applicants can contact scholarship@fons.com with any questions.
- This scholarship is available on an annual basis and is non-renewable.
Privacy Policy
By submitting an application, the applicant automatically grants Fons permission to post the applicant’s name, college, photo (if submitted), and essay on www.fons.com or in other marketing communications, even if the candidate does not win the scholarship. We are also granted permission to call and/or send you information regarding your application.
User Communications
When you send email communications to Fons, and/or its representatives may retain those communications in order to process or respond to your inquiries or application as related to the scholarship. Fons and its representatives will not knowingly sell, share, rent or otherwise transfer your information other than in accordance with the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Terms & Conditions
All submitted photos, videos, and essays must be original work of the applicant. Only one submission may be entered per student, per year. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. All scholarships are non-renewable. By submitting an application to the Fons Scholarship, you certify that all the information you have provided is accurate and complete.
The applicant automatically grants Fons, its agents and/or representatives permission to:
- Use their name, photo, essay response, and award amount, if any, in announcements or articles (i.e., social media, newsletter, etc) issued by Fons.
- Post the applicant’s name, college or university, video, and essay on our website.
- Call and/or send information to the applicant regarding their application.
- Winners will be notified via email and announced publicly, as well as on Fons' social media pages.
Students must show proof of current enrollment to an accredited US college, university or vocational/trade school within 21 calendar days by submitting either a copy of the tuition bill or a letter of proof from the school. In the event a winner cannot prove their enrollment to an accredited college, university or vocational/trade school, Fons will revoke the award for that individual and award it to the first runner-up.
Who can apply?
You must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States.
